Arthur “Ata” Gonsalves, 84, of Hawi died Feb. 20 at home. Born in Halaula, Kohala, he was a retired state employee, member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and former member of Koa Puna Kohala Chapter. Visitation from 8-9:45 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Hawi. Mass at 10 a.m. Private committal service at a later date. Aloha or casual attire. No flowers. Survived by wife, Winnie Gonsalves of Hawi; sister, Irene G. (Jack) Wilhelm of Lihue, Kauai; daughters, I. Dede Caravalho of Hilo and Ekela (Keala) Kahuanui of Waimea; sons, Crawford Gonsalves of Kurtistown and A.
